Len Rawle

Today Len Rawle one of the founder members of the LMA sadly passed away after a very short illness. He was one of the original group who founded the LMA and helped organise a lot of events in the early days. Len and Richard also ran a successful model business importing Zenoah engines and other spec...

One of my best friends is suffering with this invasive condition. Terry Bowden-Rooke long time member, friend of the LMA and co owner of SM Services who supplied a lot of us with electronic black boxes and other modelling products for many years has this now. Terry is in fine spirits but is finding ...

Re: LMA Garden Party Catton Park Thanks

I had a great time at Catton on Saturday starting with a great fry up and ending with a slice of Apple pie. In between this there was plenty of talking, watched some flying and then did some flying. Thank you to all involved from Catton for a great day. Biggest thanks go to Brian and Colin for all t...

The Farmhand 90 uses 3mm lite ply and the farmhand 60 uses 2mm lite ply for most of the parts supplied by Traplet. The spars are 9mm on the big one and 6mm on ...

Re: Farm hand 90

Alan The Farmhand 90 will fly on a Zenoah 26 but will lacking in go + you will have CG issues. If you do go this route I suggest you move the tail servos into the cockpit area and operate them via closed loop and do away with the flaps, towing and toffee dropping bits to save some weight. The Farmha...

Re: Farm hand 90

Try looking up "Farmhand model plane in the snow" on you-tube to how the Farmhand flys on a 62 Zenoah.

Re: Farm hand 90

Hi Arthur The Farmhand 90 (86"span) is a one peice wing which has proved ok with most pilots. The biggest engine fitted so far has been a Zenoah 62. The airframe will handle more power but the balence will be hard to get correct with the extra weight of the 80. I think you would be better off g...
