Contact Adhesive

Does anyone know of a decent contact adhesive for sticking lithoplate to ply. I've had good results in the past with Evostick (red tube) however the new-and-improved formula is anything but.

Builders merchants sell Ever build, stick2 instant contact adhesive. It seems the same ,to me, as the original Evostick

I've found that pound Shop UHU in a yellow tube has worked well, it is a clear contact adhesive. The Builders Merchant option might be better for larger areas

Thanks for the replies. I'll go to a builders merchants.
Its not for large areas, I want it for window framing, although there's rather a lot of it. The problem I'm having is that once 1/4 strips of litho are applied, they will still move about a bit regardless of how much/little adhesive is applied and how long/little time is allowed before pressing the parts together. The edges are also much easier to lift that I would prefer.
Hopefully a builders merchant can supply something which will make me nice and heady while carrying out this tediuos task!

Scotch Weld '77 spray contact adhesive........not tried litho to ply, but have tried litho to smooth glassed surfaces and it was very good.

Litho or to give the full name, lithoplate, are the sheets of malleable aluminium that were used in printing newspapers and the like before digital reproduction came along.

Unused litho, ie the flat sheets, can still be had and are great for reproducing certain cosmetic detail, I'm currently making the windows frames for a DH Dragon. On all the DH transports the window frames were prominent and litho is my preferred choice. It has no structural strength so its only useful as a surface finish when stuck to something else, usually balsa, ply or fibreglass. It has a thickness of about 0.5 mm so on models around 1/4 or 1/5 scale the visible edge looks quite effective.
