bits are missing

Postby Alan Cantwell 1131 » December 11th, 2013, 9:58 pm

Anyone know why, all of a sudden, my log in details are not being saved, even though i tick the keep details box,?
And for a while, i have not been able to use smilys, these are important things, as sometimes, a reply can be taken in the wrong way, (particulary with some of my replies) first one has only just happened, second one has been off for a while, ta much

Hi guys, I am looking into this. My login details are being kept and it is logging in automatically but no the smilies aren't working even though they show on the right! Just out of interest, what search engine is everyone using? Google chrome? Is anyone using Mozilla or similar?

Alan, I know there are issues with internet explorer, I couldn't log in at all using that and have had many people telling me about problems.

Hi, I use an ipad and stay logged in at least it has my name next to logout but at the bottom of the page ( dark blue bit) it either says I am not logged in or logged in as someone else, tonight I am Sarah Jane Smith.

Confused,

Barrie King

Hmmm! I have just logged on with a system using windows 8 and internet explorer and it's all different again. I shall investigate a little and see what I can find. Leave it with me guys.

Hi Alan, I have the same problem, but I have narrowed it down to a few things as to why I have to keep logging in. first is I use more than one computer so every time I login on one it seem to log me out on the other. Secondly, I find if I just go to the site from google or others I always have to login the only time I don’t is if I go straight from my favourites.

Hope this make sense to you and others that are having the same problem. You have got to remember the forum is an addon to the website and has always been a bit of a pain to manage. As for the smiles, I have no idea why they don’t work, it is a mystery, the new webmaster is looking in to it but it seem to be a problem with the forum site not the LMA website so not as easy to fix.

I am still having log in problems as well. the problem has developed since the change of web site. Like Dave I also use 2 computers and in the past there was no problem now I need to log in every time on both. one computer runs on xp the other on windows 7, on both machines I connect via the favourite bar.
hope this info helps, Have a great new year.

I have to login every time too.

Bit embarrasing as I didn't realise and had unread PMs from 2 or 3 weeks back

Smilies are visible but not working too.

On a positive, the online payment of membership renewals worked a treat (I Hope) :)

Happy New Year!
LMA2345 now that should be easy to remember!

Hi Simon, yes the website is fine and the online payment is working, this is a forum issue, although looks a part of the website it isn't it has just been integrated in to the website but in reality they are totally separate. It's something we are going to have to live with for now until the issue is resolved by Steve and Team Valley Web, I am sure they are working on a solution so we will all have to be patient, it is not a great issue in the scheme of thing.

Happy New Year to you all.

Dave
