Would you believe it?

On entering my workshop this morning, I noticed these dark purple deposits on the tail of my Vampire (see pic').......
What the hell is that, I thought. I hadn't been painting, I even checked the ceiling to see I hadn't any leaks.
Then it dawned. Outside the door, there is a berberis bush growing and it is covered in dark purple berries which, of course, the blackbirds love. The bird's digestive system being what it is, they then proceed to s--t their purple excrement all over the place.
I've had my workshop door open a lot during these lovely summer days and obviously one had got in and in the panic to extricate itself had shat all over my beautifully-sanded tail!!
........... brings a new meaning to 'hanger rash'...........
