insurance

Does anyone have separate insurance for their models or do people just rely on their house insurance?

The house contents also cover the contents of my 'shed' but I had to do a lot of shopping around to find a policy that didn't have a low limit on shed contents. And the 'shed' is brick built with proper 5 lever lock and a working alarm system.

If the models had been kept inside the house, insurance would have been much easier but living in the house - less so :-)

There must be a way of specifying items on insurance with an appropriate photo for the insurer. It might need an extra premium but the insurance companies will always be willing to take that from you.
Have you tried NFU. They might have a policy which may include outhouses, barns etc.
