Well as promised, even though it a bit late.

Great photos Dave thank you.. They will prompt me to get it mended!
Got to love antique solartex on an open structure on a sunny day! Just perfect.

Dave
that does look very nice , I agree a translucent wing looks great and have used that on my Albatross C111, pity you dead sticked in I had a Neuiport 17bis powered by a Zenoah 38 , it was a lovely flying model , dead stick landings were pretty straight forward, mine was totalled when a aileron servo seized.. best of luck with the repairs..

Good News..
The £5o Nieuport is back from the dead (it was only a little bit dead!) the motor cutting out was simply down to a bent slow running needle.. Isn't it always something simple you didn't check?
Anyway
I took the Repaired Nieuport 11 to the Catton Garden party today Saturday 22 April... And I flew it half a dozen times mixing it with some great 1/4 scale Fokker triplanes and SE5 and Sopwith Pup. It was a really good blue sky day but we were plagued with 90 degree cross winds.. Always a bit tricky with bi and triplanes! But we all took it in our strides (with a few ooh's and ahh's.

Here is a quick video of one of our WW1 slots.... The strange "crunching" noise at around 4 minutes was a triplane "eating" a foamie Spitfire... :D
