hi all

need a little help restringing my tiggie wings, not sure what i am doing at this stage new mount points fork-ends and m3 turnbuckles with 1mm wire to be added and heat shrink the crimps i want it done right or al least a demo

John from the ghost squad crew gave me some great advice, and showed me around his half scale!

i am coming to Tibenham will be bring the tiggie i will be there from Thursday

please can you help, John, to restring my tiggie if you are coming and have the time to help me, if not coming can someone else can help, please ??

Stuart at solutions can supply ready made flying wires. give him the lengths and he can get them made with left and right hand threads.

i have all the wires in stock and crimps just need help with tensions and stringing the wings

will be bring it to Tibenham unstrung

It looks like you have turnbuckles on your fixings, so that is where the tension is set, just make up the wires and crimps the same way you would make closed loop wires for a rudder ect. If you havn't done that before then have a look on youtube.
If the flying wires are not structural, and it looks like there not you can get away with using black sewing elastic on a semi scale model like yours.

it's a flair 1/4 scale tiggie so not sure if they are structural

i will have a go at stringing, but i only have 15m of wire to play with so will have a practice go

I will be at Tibbenham and would be happy to give you a quick lesson on how to do the rigging so you can have a go yourself.

Do you have any locking wire for the turnbuckles as you will need some. If you do not have any then pick up some 10 amp fuse wire and bring it with you.
