Re: EME 120 twin problems

As it’s pouring down outside I thought I’d look at this troubleshoot twin. I’ve made a short video and there’s does seem to be a problem with the cdi box, as far as I can tell. It’s appearing to fire on both plugs when the hall sensor is moved quickly over the magnet. However, when moved very very s...

Re: Twin receivers

Thanks Ian. Each Rx has its own battery and switch. It’s a petrol motor so there is also a throttle cut off using the Tx kill switch. Also the failsafe for the ignition is always set.

Would I just add a Y lead for the ignition opto isolation?

Re: Twin receivers

As an update of this thread... A club mate and I are building this Giant Mannock. I’ve decided to install a twin Rx system using a pair of FrSky TFR8s FASST RXs. I’ve gone down this route for a couple of reasons... I’ve never tried a dual RX set up before With all the time and money spent on it an e...

Re: EME 120 twin problems

I’ve bought a new hall sensor. A few people have had trouble with these on twins on the RCUniverse forum. It’s worth a try. A club mate has a compression tester, that’s in the pipeline.

Thankyou

Just a public notice of thanks to the LMA for wishing to pay the £9 CAA license fee. A VERY generous gesture.

Re: twin battery and one reciever

I’ve just installed a Jomar Ultimate Battery Backer into a Cap232. Works just fine after some extensive testing. 2 identical batteries into 2 switches then into the UBB with one lead to the Rx. I’ve had it for a while and never got around to using it until now....I needed extra nose weight so an ext...

Re: How many are running ums radicals over moki

I’ve had my UMS 7-77 glow radial for 8 years. It’s been a good engine, though I’ve looked after it and treasured it.

However, if I had the money and the air frame it would have to be Moki....all the way.
