Re: Wellington build thread

Nicely done there Robin. I have followed Steve's example and added a captive nylon bolt to the front of the fin leading edge. Once fixed on to the fuse I can tie it down with a matching nylon wingnut . Rest of the arrangement is similar as well where the load is passed on to the carbon tube and and ...

Re: Wellington build thread

Thanks for the additional information Robin. She's coming along nicely.
What retracts are you using?
I must restart my Wellington. Kind of relegated currently after starting with the tail feathers. Is your fin removable or fixed?
Keep up the good work

Re: Wellington build thread

Gent's, I have started the build on my Wellington. Need advice on size of hinges to use on the tail feathers. Should I use the 1/8 or 3/16 Robart dowel type hinges? Asking this as the 3/16 type looks too large to use towards the tip of the tail feathers. Can I use 1/8 for the tip and 3/16 for the re...

Re: Most typical scales of currently flying LMA Wellingtons

Tim, Happy new year to you and your's. I did receive your e-mail. But I must admit that your detailed work is beyond my reach. Your turrets are a masterpiece project. I was thinking more on the lines of a very basic turret interior.

Re: Most typical scales of currently flying LMA Wellingtons

Tim Given that the SLEC/Nijhuis kit is not very scale, my suggestion would be to go by the supplied turret mouldings dimensions rather than pure scale dimensions. I am just starting to build one and could measure up the turret mouldings. And if you are going to come up with a simpler turret and inte...
