Re: Test days and Fly-in's

Hi,

I was hoping to get a bit more notice than 6 days! + "the look of it" so where is this information posted? I can't see anything on the LMA web site either logged in or not + nothing on the Facebook page (LMA groups). Is there another group?

Test days and Fly-in's

Anyone know when the 2025 test days (like Elvington/Buckminster) will be known and where they will be published? Normally I seem to be the last person to find out..post event! I assume the official LMA events will be posted in the forum under LMA Events and the Non LMA events will populate in due co...

Power Max Mosquito UC actuator

I have acquired a part finished 95 inch (with UC bolted in), but need to sort out the retract mechanism. I don't think these are the intended UC as there are some sub mounting plates, but they look the part and will do the job nicely. Question to the collective as these are similar to the Mick Reeve...

Servo selection for 120 inch wingspan Warbird

Its at the back of the build que, but I might as well ask now as I start looking in detail at the drawings with an idea of what needs to go where. I'll go dual RX etc as it will be close to the 25kg limit but expect it to be under when all finished (its better be!) Suggestions regarding size and mak...

Re: Set up for large models

John,

Thanks for the guidance, much appreciated. I'll go with the two of everything as its both simple and does not require grilling manufacturers/suppliers as to whether their product is truly dual redundant.

Regards Chris

Set up for large models

Slightly confused modeler. For the larger models I appreciate the need/requirement for dual redundancy but this is where I start getting confused with some of the arrangements I have seen (rightly or wrongly). Simplistically, I thought for dual redundancy you need: Two batteries, two switches and tw...

Electric setup for an IC twin

Sounds a bit like a contradiction, but the engines are IC although the question is related to the electric set up for a 10 Kg twin. I am on Spektrum and was intending to have a dual battery supply to the RX (via a 4max Mini Servo Power Distribution Box, Red) and the model has electric retracts via a...
