E Flight question

My normal interest is petrol power 1/5 warbirds. I recently bought a 20cc size Hangar 9 P51 to keep my hand in over the winter. It is fitted with an electric motor ( my first one ) Tornado Thumper 6354/16 and 500mAh 22.2v 6s Lipoly battery. It is decidedly uninspiring power wise, should I get a bigg...

Unitracts international

Does anybody know if Unitracts are still in business? I have tried to contact them by phone and email but no reply.
Thanks.

2 x Fiala 2 blade 24x12, single standard central hole £15 each, I will pay the postage. One has been mounted only, never run, the other still in original bag. Both factory painted rather like a Bumble Bee, yellow stripes ( I pressed the wrong button when ordering, would have looked rather bizarre on...

Re: Nylon verses steel wing bolts

In my many years of experience (about 50 when wings were held on with rubber bands) I have had a few steel bolts vibrate loose, not so with nylon, and in the unfortunate case of an accident, the nylon bolts and mountings have pulled through the wing rather than shear. I have used nylon on my 1/5 sca...

Nylon verses steel wing bolts

HI, is there a problem using nylon wing bolts on large petrol aircraft. I have recently bought a Vailly Tempest plan that states to use steel, not nylon wing bolts. Why is this?
Thanks in advance.

Sierra U/C leg wanted

Unfortunately snapped one of my Sierra U/C legs. It is for a Ziroli P40, 6 1/2" compressed, 7 1/2" extended. I would be happy to buy both main gear legs with retract units if required.

Re: Temperature operated cowl flaps

Hi Frank, I use a rather old Futaba T14SG. I know that Jeti are able to do this but I don't want to change all of my gear.
