Re: Roland Ladds

Ah that's very sad news Paul, he was a great bloke and always had time to talk, I'll miss seeing his chariot around.

RIP mate, Ian.

Re: Z62 Reduction drive Wanted.

Hi Tim, I do have a 'spare' Torquemaster but is only good for spares as I've robbed some bits for another. Apologies for getting your hopes up perhaps, Ian.

Re: Z62 Reduction drive Wanted.

Hi Tim, the Toni Clark units are for the Zenoah 38, though they did sell the Schlundt units for the Zenoah 62 but they aren't on their website that I can see. The Schlundt units are very similar to the TC Zenoah 38 units. I'll have a root for the Reeves Torquemaster at the weekend.

Re: Z62 Reduction drive Wanted.

Hi Tim, which reduction drive are you after? Reeves Torquemaster (I think 1 to 1.75) and the Schlundt (about 1 to 2.9) are the ones I know of. I'm pretty sure I have a spare Torquemaster.

Re: 74" 1/6th Scale P51 Mustang ARTF

Hi Ron, when you say blanked off, do you mean the wheel wells have been covered over like in your photo of the underside? I hope not as these look like the scale doors present on a Mustang, have you tried opening them?!!

Like everyone that saw your work at Gaydon yesterday Tim, they look even better in the flesh. Truly incredible attention to detail and they work so smoothly! Fabulous, many thanks for bringing them along!

Re: advice please Walbro carb choke lever

Turn the carb round so they are on the other side It'd be easier to turn the engine Rob? You can turn the choke round, fairly simple job to dismantle the butterfly and the spindle, making sure the butterfly goes back in the same way as before. It is easy to 'forget' which way round it goes after di...

Great to speak with you yesterday Tim, you certainly are the oracle when it comes to the Wellington! Looking forward to the box, then hopefully a trip down to see you and you work! Many thanks, Ian.

Re: (some) 3d printed parts for FN5 turret at 1:4.5

Hi Timothy, I'd obviously be very interested in the partial turret components. I've sent you a message though feel free to ring or text me on 0 7 7 7 3 4 8 7 1 1 1.

Cheers, Ian.

(Who knows, it might even spur some work on the restoration of JG's lovely Wellington!)

Re: My brain hurts!

Before you get the plan copied, draw two lines at 90 degrees to each other, on each sheet. I draw the lines to a length that once enlarged come to a known measurement and write "these lines to measure 500mm on the finished enlargement". This saves any hassle when you pick them up, it also ...

Hi Ron, what you have there is a piece of aeromodelling film history. Designed by David Boddington, these models were produced for the TV series 'Airline' with Roy Marsden in the early 80's. Ruskin Air Services was their livery. You seem to be missing, unless its bits are wrapped up, the centre sect...

Re: Moki 250 radial for sale.

Hi Ross, the price is in the first post, somewhere near is good. One sold recently for a few hundred more and that was a bit of a bitzer. This one has done very little, only ever been in one aeroplane (Airworld Sukhoi SU26) and that hasn't flown much. I'd also do a deal on anything really, ready to ...

Moki 250 radial NOW SOLD.

Moki 250 radial for sale. In very good order. It is a few years old but was bought new for an Airworld Sukhoi SU26M (that is also available perhaps) which has flown but not an enormous amount as the guy didn't fly that much and had loads of other stuff too! It last ran a year or so ago and has been ...

Re: Glen Torrance 1/3 scale Fokker DVI

Cary, your wording is a little confusing to say the least and might be putting off any potential buyers! It doesn't require an over 20kg exemption, inspection or whatever as it isn't over 20kg! Has your reworking taken it over then? If so, the model is now set up so with the addition of another Rx a...

Re: wanted info

Wow, I too remember this model, at a RR Hucknall scale day, late 90's I guess, it landed and on the taxi back careered at a leisurely pace into the pits, T boned my Mustang. The prop 'shark gilled' all the way up the leading edge of the wing and only stopped when it hit the retract unit. I don't rem...

Hi John, Bill has been on here very recently, might he still have one? Falcon Aviation I'm pretty sure were offering them a couple of years back too. Re: FN5 turrets for Wellington

Hi Timothy, a very interesting project for sure. In the ceiling space of my workshop I have the ex Ghost Squadron Wellington which (when I get round to restoring it) I planned to do the very same thing with. This is just under 1/4 scale so I'd be interested if you would be able to supply any turret ...
