Re: MEISTER Republic P-47D-22-RE Thunderbolt, Step by Step B

Hi Dean Have a look at http://veaseyjet.com/VeaseyJet/Model_builds/Model_builds.html to see what I mean. I think the Meister Zero build shows it best but they all use the same technique. Re: MEISTER Republic P-47D-22-RE Thunderbolt, Step by Step B

I understand why the use of 3mm wire push rods was asked to be changed but a model of this size could still use servo's at the front if the elevators had a suitable joiner and a heavy duty carbon rod was used that was supported through the fuselage. I know of many warbirds that are done this way and...

Re: Meister Zero

Well done Dave. I best get my Zero out again for next year then. Did you not have the latest build instructions for it though as they say about the need for a down mix with flaps.

Re: Journal issue 147 update

The latest journal is up to the usual great standard and I'm yet to read it cover to cover, but..........I am pretty disappointed to see that there are no TJD models whatsoever in the Rougham pic report considering the amount we took and flew. I do appreciate that not all pics can be shown and the o...

Re: The peoples projects

My current project is a Ziroli Bearcat which which was going well until the paint supplier gave us 1 part of a 2 pack paint but didn't tell us!!!! The whole model was sprayed then it all had to come off again! That was a while ago and its now back in colour again and waiting for some lettering to g...

Re: Shows, Displays and Slots

The showline nationals last year tried some good things including flying 2 formation flights of a planes from different era's. I was lucky enough to fly the hurricane in one of them. A challenging flight but was great to be a part of and it apparently was very well received. http://www.youtube.com/w...

Re: Shows, Displays and Slots

TJD have tried doing set routines in the past but its very difficult when you have 3 or more aircraft in formation. It relies on each aircraft being in the right place throughout the whole display. Sun position and wind direction/strength is also a factor that means things have to change each time o...

Re: Introduction : New Forum Member

Hi Wendy, Welcome from Yours Truly. I liked your Journal article and agree with your no pilot in the 'office' bit (wooden propellers on warbirds are also a beef of mine, too). Cheers, Neil I presume you mean unpainted wooden props Neil? Hint taken. I've broken a few recently so best get the new one...
