FIVE Zenoah Carb Bends plus two spacers etc

For some reason I have five (yes five!) Zenoah carb bends which are surplus to my needs! Three are for the Zenoah 45 (with the pressure nipple for the pump) and two are for the Zenoah 62 (without the pressure nipple). There are about three sets of bolts. However they are standard metric cap heads so...

Zlin 512 - 1/4 Scale from the Falcon Models ARTF kit - Currently Electric

This model has an 8ft one piece wing with some dihedral so not that easy to transport. That is the only reason it is up for sale! It was originally fitted out with Roto 35 Petrol engine but never flown on that setup. Custom engine mount still available if anybody wants to convert it back. It is curr...

Pat Teakle ASW17 - Sold subject to collection

Sold subject to collection next week - many thanks. I have a Pat Teakle 5 metre ASW17 for sale in Cambridge I am hoping to go to one day of the Buckminster Aerotow Event this weekend (probably Saturday). If so I could bring it by prior arrangement. Although it flies beautifully as it is, to be hones...

Re: Wanted Any leads on a large canopy 9.5"W x 15"L

Have you tried phoning Glenn?

I know the website is years out of date (but then it generally was!) but it is still there. He is very helpful and I bought a canopy for a 30% CAP from him a few years ago. The new ones are far less brittle to the point it was posted to me loosely rolled up!

Adfa Models 1/4 Scale Super Decathlon Project - SOLD

Is anybody interested it taking this project off my hands at a bargain price? The story..... First the good bit.... Some years ago I was given a nicely made and beautifully covered pair of wings from an Adfa Models 25% Decathlon, in the classic red and white colour scheme. One of the strut mounting ...

Glens 30% CAP 232 with Zenoah 62 - Now SOLD

For sale is my Glens 30% CAP 232 complete. Just add your receiver to fly. It flies beautifully and is an ideal introduction to larger models. The fuselage, cowl, canopy and tailplane are all in decent flying order, with just a few minor signs of age. It has a pair of virtually new wings fitted and w...

Re: Setups without SM Services units!

OK, I think you are misguided in your beliefs. John No, as I thought I had made clear, I am not advocating one approach over the other. I am simply pointing out that it is not a case of "fit a diode and all will be perfect my son". There is for and against. We could debate the percentage ...

Re: Setups without SM Services units!

Hi Guys, I have just come accross this Thread. The thing most people miss is that by using two Batteries we are trying to add redundancy, and that is there to compensate for the possibility of some failure occuring. Measuring the conditions when no failure is present is futile. Yes the cross drain ...

Re: Setups without SM Services units!

Leaving aside the red / green battery monitors the SM services backer was simply two diodes which can be bought for under 50p each. Providing you use two similar batteries many would argue that the diodes are not actually necessary. They simply prevent one battery from charging the other if the volt...

Adfa Models 97in Decathlon

Any help or advice would be much appreciated...... Some years ago I was given an immaculate pair of wings for an Adfa 97in Decathlon. Before they went bust, Adfa several times promised to give me a price for a fuselage kit, cowl etc but it never happened. Recently I picked up a ruin of a fuselage al...

32m Wing Tube

Can anybody suggest where I can get either an aluminium or carbon 32mm wing pole?

I need it to be 781mm long so, to ask a daft question, what is the best way of nicely cutting to length? Carefully with a hacksaw and file or is there a better way?

Many thanks.

I'd also love to know the answer to the weight, in my case it would be with a DLA56.

Best filler for glass glider fuselage?

I have a few minor dings in an otherwise nice 30% glass fibre glider fuselage. They are not structural. What is the best way of filling them and getting a passable match with the white fuselage? It has never been painted and I really don't want to! I also have a very tatty glass glider that has be b...

Re: Frsky-2.4GHz-conversion

I was wondering how your FrSky setups were performing a few months on? I feel that if you take off in range check mode then you have not given much thought to whats going on, and poor pre flight checks. Might sound harsh but thats the way I see it. Yes, you are right of course! What makes it worse ...

Re: Frsky-2.4GHz-conversion

im waiting for the systems that use the trainer port for the ppm signal and power which means your not modifying the transmiter but saying that iv seen on several forums threads on successful hak installs that have been done world wide. You can't simply run the current FrSky "hack" from a...

Re: Frsky-2.4GHz-conversion

I was wondering how your FrSky setups were performing a few months on? I have also been experimenting whilst considering which 2.4 system to adopt. My current thinking is Futaba for my better models and FrSky in more "disposable" bits of fun and my rather basic slope soarers which get flow...

Futaba 2.4 modules and 7 channel RX - any views?

My big 2.4 dither before taking the plunge continues............. Moving on from 35 MHz (9 ZAP with mainly PCM 149 RXs) Does anybody have first hand experience (good or bad) of the following. Futaba 8 channel 2.4 module to go in my 9ZAP (about £118) Futaba 7 channel receivers (currently on special o...

Re: Are Multiplex likely to do a Futaba Module?

Maybe a silly question but I would like to know why you do not want to put a Futaba module in your Futaba radio !? John No reason at all! Making the change will be quite an investment as I have a lot of models (i.e. too many) so I'm just considering all options before taking the plunge. I know very...

Are Multiplex likely to do a Futaba Module?

I see Multiplex now do a module for JR transmitters as well as their own equipment. Does anybody know if a Futaba equivalent is likely. If so, any views? If not then what? I have two 9ZAP transmitters and I would like to stick with these. Currently I still fly almost everything on 35 MHz PCM. I do h...

Re: Gliders over 20Kg

I stopped flying full sized gliders a few years ago so I may be a little out of date however..... The rules for full sized gliders are slowly changing but, until very recently (or maybe still) there is no legal requirement for a glider to have a C of A. Equally there is no requirement for a glider p...
