Re: 1/4 scale Hawker Sea Fury for sale

Firstly can I thank those who have contacted me regarding the Sea Fury and those that made offers to buy it, but more importantly can I thank those that urged me to keep the model and fly it more frequently - after assembling the model ready for viewing I realised that the thing is to some extent ir...

Re: jerry bates 1/4.5 sea fury

Hi Jonathon, Yes the Moki 250 will fit, it is the scale of the Airworld composite Sea Fury which takes the 250. Brian, realize it may seem a bit OTT but as you know there is a device called a throttle which if used makes a Moki sound even better - look forward to seeing you at Cosford. Regards Trevor

Re: jerry bates 1/4 sea fury

Hello Jonathan, Before going down the path of the 1/4 scale Sea Fury my advice based on owning, flying and maintaining this warbird for 7 years now is go for the slightly smaller 1/4.5 version,it will be much more user friendly - the 1/4 size model is a big and heavy warbird, mine was built light but ...

Re: Havard cowl

Hello Paul, I used F.S in March of this year for a large pair of spats, they gave excellent service and turned them around in 7 days from ordering on their web site for £40,however as with everything that you buy overseas the freight from the US was £45 and the import duty a further £25 plus of cours...

Re: Landing gear

Philip and Dave, Good advice from Dave regarding Premier being UK based, however Dave Pearson and myself do have experience of several years use of Sierra units in both CARF Corsairs and P-47 Thunderbolts where these units have performed faultlessly and without issue. FYI the units in my own 1/4 scal...

Re: Afterburner lights

Hi Andy, I have used the sets sold by Aviation Design in France ( AD Jets ) - they have a range of diameters and come complete with the control unit which gives a pulsing effect before kicking in - not too highly priced - I bought mine direct from their web site without any problem but believe Nexus...

Hello Mike, Thanks for the reply, will look forward to seeing your solution,as you are fully aware the rear cylinder is the real problem here, the effective cooling of which will be mandatory on this big twin in order to avoid problems. Re: 1/4 scale Sea Fury

Hi David, Nice to see another Sea Fury taking shape - have you decided on an engine yet - mine was flown for a few years on a Moki 250cc which was fine but I re-engined it last year with one of the new 300cc units, it is slightly smaller in diameter and although a little heavier allowed equivalent l...
