Re: Petrol enine

Geoff, its got to depend on what you are wanting to tow and what your putting on.. On the 88" Greenley I run a Z62 and it can tow a 15kg glider quite comfortably

Re: Vintage glider wanted

Hi Steve

Try putting the same request up on Scale Soaring UK website, more likely to have luck there I would guess.

Re: Traplet,

Obviously we dont know the full story behind Traplet going into administration. I could well be that Traplet traded at Cosford in all honesty and the creditors forced the company into administration early this week. Therefore the staff at Cosford had no idea the orders would not be honoured. If you ...

Re: Wing tubes,,

Try Slec, they do wing tubes and although they dont advertise anything that big its worth a call. Fighter Aces also offer a 50mm so may be able to do bigger.

Not really Bob, your only talking of £171 for a 2 day show. Gate takings from the shows must be able to cover this, either that or a small increase on the gate price to do so.

Re: Vans

For me its the LWB Renault Master or Vauxhall Movano. I had the first one for around 6 yrs and 72000 miles( 2.5td Renault) and now have the 2.3cdti Vauxhall and they are great. I have towed twin axle caravans around the uk and its effortless. Combined with large capacity load space and comfortable d...

Wing Cmdr Wallis was a lovely man and if you never heard one of this talks which covered his entire life then you really missed a treat. Re: IS THIS CHOCKEY BOOTH IN DISGUISE ?

Hi Andy, that makes sense now. I'm also not very keen on heights and wont stand near the edge in tall buildings etc but dont have a problem in a plane/helicopter. Was nice to see LLundy from a different view, we can see it nicely if the weather is nice whilst at Belle Vue, one of our gliding friends...

Re: IS THIS CHOCKEY BOOTH IN DISGUISE ?

Well I watched the programme and found it quite entertaining, and if you think about it thats what the programme is, entertainment. Ok, I found it a little belittling to have the gliders described as toys but there you go. When you consider that most of the audience probably are not as informed abou...
