Re: Foreign calls for a model for sale anyone?

I have been a target for money laundering from a bmfa advert. If the buyer wants to arrange his own collection and pay by cheque DO NOT GET INVOLVED!

Re: R35 Cup

Bob this idea is obviously a tool to sell prop guys engines, so z38s won't be allowed, and his own design airframe which looks like a greenly with a cowl ( pity its not more scale).

model boats

I know its not large or aircraft related, but looking at the recent weather i thought some of you might be interested in my model boat kits. They are easy to build and at pocket money prices, they are based on models i built as a kid, some from plans and some from kits. More details at http://www.ha...

Re: 33% shoestring kit

Hi Bob, It takes me about 3 months to draw a model from scratch, this is as far as i've got. I will have a set of parts in the month so i can build up some the centre section and make wing faring molds. the wing will be in 3 pieces with the u/c fixed to the centre section, this can be left on the fu...

33% shoestring kit

I have 2 Shoestring kits in stock, these could be the last 2 kits i will be producing as the u/c I use is no longer available. These models fly really well in most weather conditions on engines from 25-35cc or electric. More info at http://www.hakits.co.uk
Complete kits £425 each.

Re: Wood glue

Bob, I have never used gorilla glue, its too expensive. If it is a pva based glue then it will be heat sensitive. As we know Balsa loc is pva based and that sticks and unsticks with heat.

Re: Wood glue

Hi Rosario, beware that some pva white glues are heat sensitive and can become rubbery in high temperatures (even left in the sun on hot days). I prefer to use an aliphatic resin, it withstands heat and is easier to sand on a laminated edge. For high stress areas use epoxy. Personally i do most of m...

Re: An Update on the UK Regulations for Model Flyers

As some-one who isn't keen on registering and opening the door to extortion, what are the alternatives to rc flying. Do you need to register if you only fly indoors? what about control line models of free flight? I haven't seen these disciplines mentioned, and as they don't offer any possible threat...

Re: new registration rebellion

It looks like your all over this Bob. I'm not sure if i have read the document correctly but is it applicable to all aircraft or just powered, indoor or outdoor. At what point does the owner of an aircraft need to register, if a retailer has a box on the shelf containing an rtf including transmitter...

Re: new registration rebellion

Surely all legal model pilots are on a register already, through the insurers, can the CAA not access this, as police do with car insurance. Those that don't bother insuring aren't going to register anyway. This is just a toy aircraft tax! Bloody conservatives.
