Re: CAA proposed charges

Im afraid to say.. But if it is we will be charged for over 20kg models... We have 2 choices.... Like it or lump it.. Its not really up for discussion is it? If people aspire to build large models, they understand the huge costings involved, So what is another cost on top to do something you love......

Re: CAA proposed charges

I thought Tony Hooper was our liaison officer with CAA. or am i missing something here. Surely after all that blurb has been issued there will be a few points that have to be discussed at committee level and decisions being made. I don't see the point of posting 13 pages of blurb as its the same as ...

Re: Condolences To Robbie

Well as you know Dad and I are quite anal about our preparation. but on this occasion a £6 spark plug let me down. you just don't expect one to unwind itself still on the plug cap and hanging there out of the engine. I hadn't had any warning or any problems up to that point. Flight was all OK then a...

Re: 55% Pitts Challenger 2 - Skip Model Designs.

Due to the overwhelming response This model has had and almost crashing the LMA website due to the amount of posts and support we have received, ,( Yeh Right, Its not a WW1 OR a WW2 Aircraft) Thought i would at least post a picture of the finished plane.

Thanks for all the support LMA :)

Re: 55% Pitts Challenger 2 - Skip Model Designs.

So this is as far as we have got.
LMA Inspection - Passed.
16 x JR 8911 Awaiting install - Tick
ZDZ 250, NEARLY READY TO ORDER.
weight - 62 lbs ( only 3lbs over..... if we went for the zdz 210 as originally thought, we would have been under 60 LBS :) )

55% Pitts Challenger 2 - Skip Model Designs.

At long marston Last Year, i was asked by 4 people if i would be doing a slightly smaller version of my 68% Challenger 2, To which i replied at some point. Since then, i sold my christen eagle ( Left me in September) and i will be needing a smaller 50% Ish Model. So 2 months ago in my spare evenings...
