Large Mobile Home / Static Caravan. Free!

Currently located in North Lincolnshire, a large mobile home or static caravan, would make an ideal Club Hut or instant Workshop. Size is approx. 35ft x 10ft in fair condition. Free to take away, although be aware that these things need to be moved on the road via a lorry or low loader type vehicle....

Re: Sky 120 LMA Trainer

It all looks a bit 'Brick Outhouse' but having seen them fly, it must be fine.
Neat building, keep posting

Re: Latest Journal

I'm not sure that changing the name will do much to promote the LMA. If you have to change I prefer LMAA over LMFA as we are surely more than just a flying organisation, plus LMFA has more scope to be 'mis-interpreted'. Personally, I see no need to change. The LMA is a well established group and doe...

HT Lead for Zenoah 38

Hi All, I have a Z38 where the HT lead has become a bit frayed at the end and the plug connector unreliable. The HT lead is already short so cutting a bit off isn't really an option. Has anyone out there got a spare Mag unit with lead and plug cap that they are willing to sell on? or https://www.eba...

Re: Spitfire flaps

I don't claim to have the experience of either of you guys. My experience has been that only once have I had to mix in a little elevator compensation (down) For the most part so long as the speed is allowed to decay before the flaps are deployed, no compensation has been needed. Some people see to h...

Re: Sist Fw 190 make over

Its looks mighty fine Respect!
Very brave to apply NitroMoors to the composite surface, never tried it on GRP but I know that its aggressive stuff.
I look forward to seeing the next photos.

Re: p47 air under cart advice

If possible, I would keep everything, Tank, valve and air control, into the wing. If its a split wing then there is/are only 1/2 connections to be made across the centre line. (depending on air up/down or air/spring) If a one piece wing then obviously no connections to be made on assembly at all. If...

Re: Twin receivers

There are Rx's out there now where two receivers are piggy backed together so that if one fails then Fairies in the back up receiver take over from the Pixies who have down tools, the idea being that control is retained over ALL channels not just one aileron / elevator etc. Is there anyone out who f...

. A bit of time on the lathe etc saw it up and running, Well this really, I haven't got a lathe and I don't think that anything is available commercially. I agree that the RDS systems seems to be a good idea though

Re: Prop size on a Zenoah 26 in a WW1 bipe?

The Jen 6:1 starter is very good and best used with a four cell Lipo, (although 12v lead acid will be fine) It is a better starter than a Dynatron.
I bought one at Cosford for either £30 or £32, The following year I went to buy another and it was £55. They said 'Exchange Rate' but I thought not

Re: 3W 70cc single Prop size / rpm??

Ha! No not yet, I picked up the oil but not used it yet, can't help but think that there is a large element of snake oil in the said two stroke oil..... something has to account for the price! I did find that the more it has run there has been a marginal improvement to the 'barely adequate' category...

Re: 3W 70cc single Prop size / rpm??

Thanks Stuart, that's good to know. I have flown it a few times now and it is showing a marginal improvement. I think that the basic problem is a lack of cubes for the size of model. Do I gather that you found a DLE85 single better than the Z80 twin?? - surprising, I was thinking that the Z80 would ...
