Wanted Zenoah 62 standard exhaust/silencer

Hi All,

I find myself in need of a standard issue silencer for a Zenoah 62. They are around £20 posted new but in the interests of recycling and being friendly towards Dolphins, does anyone have one that they no longer need??

Re: Off - Piste

As you well know Keith, there are two sides to the story of Bluebird K7, the people who makeup the Bluebird Project and the Campbell Trust / Ruskin Museum. The plan to cut out the Team who have rebuilt this magnificent machine and deny them any further contact with it is, in my view, not one worth s...

Re: Wanted: large 40-50% Cub style wheels

[/img][img] wheeels.jpg I needed some 8" wheels last year. I bought four scrap electric scooters for £20 as a job lot. The front wheels were 8" inflatable with alloy hubs and ball bearings. Originally they were treaded tyres but I sanded the tread off to smooth. Can't really help with the ...

Re: Digital Magazine

A digital mag doesn't really work for me. I tend to read them in bed or the smallest room even. I've had a look at the latest edition on a laptop but not found it the easiest to follow.
At the risk of being a Luddite, I would prefer a print copy

Re: Cellulose Paint Fuel Proofing?

In my experience, no fuel proofing is needed for petrol powered models painted with automotive cellulose.
(For Glow, 2K laquer is said to be fuel proof although there are potential health issues with spraying that you need to be aware of)

Re: 2mm Liteply as wing skin???

Hi Stuart, Really! 1.75KG, thats quite a lot isn't it. Not sure that Liteply live up to its name in that case.

Thanks for the reply though. Much heavier than I anticipated.

Re: 2mm Liteply as wing skin???

Thanks Dave, I appeciate your thoughts. I've had a look at Proskin. I take it that it's only available via Mick Reeves?
Prices are moderate and certainly a quick way to a paintable finish.

Still like to hear from anyone who has used 2 mil Liteply or Laserply as a wing skin

2mm Liteply as wing skin???

Hi to All If its not too late to say so, Happy New Year and wishing you all a great flying year. Given the price of balsa I have been looking at alternative materials. I like the foam board (paper lined depron) it seems useful for formers and as a core on large fin/ rudders and tailplanes and I'm no...

At 262 Diameter and four blades, I would have thought that prop is more suited to circa 100cc engines?

Good Luck, they are hard to find. If you do find one, any chance that you could post some details photos and dimensions?? As I recall, the U/C is assembled from fairly simple components and just a few that required some straightforward lathe work. I'm sure that it wouldn't be too hard to remake one ...

Such a shame to hear this awful news. I met him a few times - he was always willing to chat and always full of enthusiasm for the hobby. I also liked to read his column in the mags, he 'Shedly musings' which were insightful and funny. I admired his thinking on modeling. In his 'Bushwacker' trainer d...

Re: Roger Bale's 1/4 Swordfish

Oops, the end of the last post got missed off. Unarmed for the moment, there will eventually be a torpedo (naturally) but also eight underwing rocket projectiles as an alternative. There Stringbag is one of the few aeroplanes which outlived its intended replacement the Albacore. I was also surprised...

Roger Bale's 1/4 Swordfish

Is anyone still in touch with Roger Bale? In happier times, this was his quarter scale Swordfish which flew around 20 years ago swordfish11.jpg I don't know what happenened in the interim but it came to me around 10 years ago when it looked like this IMG_1235.jpg IMG_1234.jpg IMG_1233.jpg Over those...
