Hi Stuart, Really! 1.75KG, thats quite a lot isn't it. Not sure that Liteply live up to its name in that case.
Thanks for the reply though. Much heavier than I anticipated.

Re: 2mm Liteply as wing skin???
Thanks Dave, I appeciate your thoughts. I've had a look at Proskin. I take it that it's only available via Mick Reeves?
Prices are moderate and certainly a quick way to a paintable finish.
Still like to hear from anyone who has used 2 mil Liteply or Laserply as a wing skin

2mm Liteply as wing skin???
Hi to All If its not too late to say so, Happy New Year and wishing you all a great flying year. Given the price of balsa I have been looking at alternative materials. I like the foam board (paper lined depron) it seems useful for formers and as a core on large fin/ rudders and tailplanes and I'm no...

At 262 Diameter and four blades, I would have thought that prop is more suited to circa 100cc engines?

Re: Wanted Flair 1/4 scale Tiger Moth undercarriage
Good Luck, they are hard to find. If you do find one, any chance that you could post some details photos and dimensions?? As I recall, the U/C is assembled from fairly simple components and just a few that required some straightforward lathe work. I'm sure that it wouldn't be too hard to remake one ...

Re: Alex Whittaker, photographer extreme, R.I.P
Such a shame to hear this awful news. I met him a few times - he was always willing to chat and always full of enthusiasm for the hobby. I also liked to read his column in the mags, he 'Shedly musings' which were insightful and funny. I admired his thinking on modeling. In his 'Bushwacker' trainer d...

Re: Roger Bale's 1/4 Swordfish
Oops, the end of the last post got missed off. Unarmed for the moment, there will eventually be a torpedo (naturally) but also eight underwing rocket projectiles as an alternative. There Stringbag is one of the few aeroplanes which outlived its intended replacement the Albacore. I was also surprised...

Roger Bale's 1/4 Swordfish
Is anyone still in touch with Roger Bale? In happier times, this was his quarter scale Swordfish which flew around 20 years ago swordfish11.jpg I don't know what happenened in the interim but it came to me around 10 years ago when it looked like this IMG_1235.jpg IMG_1234.jpg IMG_1233.jpg Over those...

Could you give me a link or Mail to Falcon Aviation? A search in the web just brought up some private jet companies....;-)

Yes, Best wishes to all LMA members and I echo John's remarks on the appreciation of the Committee and all those who 'make things happen' at the shows and Fly Ins.
Lets hope for an excellent 2022

Re: Open Tx or Edge Tx?
I can't speak for the Edge system but OTX on the FrSky Horus 12 seems straightforward (as much as any computer TX is these days) I used to set up the model on the laptop and then load it into the TX but now I find it easier and quicker to copy a similar model forward within the TX, zero all the sett...

To be fair Alan, Champion engines were at best, partially useful for propping open the shed door. Not sure that I would use one for anything else.

Re: Wanted 7 to 7.5 inch wheels 150-180mm
Hi Cary, Yes I know that they are a decent price for new. Banggood do the same ones at a similar price. A good mate of mine always said that 'Anyone can just go and buy it, the win is to improvise adapt and alter' Recycling at its best. When it comes to modelling, I get a lot of satisfaction from do...
