Re: smoke nipple advice Report this post Quote Postby Dave Wilshere ยป January 28th, 2019, 11:30 pm You cannot put a smoke nipple that close to the flange on a canister set up, it will suck fluid into the engine, foul the plug and reduce power. On the Zimmermann set up you have its designed to have t...

If you need more smoke or your pump is not very powerful go to .75mm hole. smoke works best from half to full throttle only, a...

Re: How do you prevent bleed under masking tape

Right' this is a real pain, so what I do is go to a paint supplier to the car trade , these are found on nearly all big trading estates, and get 6mm wide 3M 'buff' lining tape. when you mask with this you must press down the edge firmly either with your finger nail or an old blunt kitchen knife ( mu...

Re: Ted Allison's 3rd-Scale DH Rapide

Congratulations, that low pass picture says it all. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh. Yesterday must have had some 'higher' support as I completed my test flights with my 1/3rd scale Stinson Reliant SR10 and all went very well. We could pair up at the shows, cabin cruisers rule !.

Re: Plan Enlargement?

Any good high street photo/print shop with a digital copier will do it. If the plan is an old drawn plan, you cut or fold the plan length ways down the fuz with about an inch over the centreline, get them to copy the larger piece with the appropriate % + dialled in for one half and then get them to ...

Re: Shows, Displays and Slots

I think Dave Hayfield has hit the nail, less slots but more in each slot. In dp we are aware that our landings take too long and Ian Redshaw is working on a line astern approach with a land or abort instruction from each pilots spotter when the model is a few feet from the ground. All depends on a c...
