Re: Bing Carb gaskets

Hi Dave yes the Mackay 30 uses the same system with a Walbro carb - so it may be sortable, but for what it costs for a set of gaskets
I think I would persevere with the Bing carb initially.

Re: Bing Carb gaskets

Not sure if a swap would be easy - the heat sink may be a problem.

I have several scrap Walbro carbs - could send you one if you want a look - they have come off mainly chainsaws but I have one off a Zenoah somewhere.

Re: Sticking lithoplate

There’s a guy in Tasmania on the rcscalebuilder site who builds very large models and uses tremendous amount of lithoplate and always uses double-sided tape - obviously strong variety .

Re: An Update on the UK Regulations for Model Flyers

Why do I get the feeling they are taxing our hobby?
It really doesn’t get near the root problem but makes a little more sense than the earlier proposals.

Re: Wood glue

Hi Rosario ,it depends what you are building - for white glue I use the blue bottle Evostick, available many places. For epoxy both 30 minute and 5 minute I use Zpoxy and for very high stress e.g.firewalls I use hysol. I only use very limited cyano - Zap thick and thin.Using the thin for joining bals...

Re: Mobile phones on flight line

Thanks for replies - I know nothing is conclusive, but it does seem as if there is something. What prompted the question was one of our members, who is very careful with his flight prepping, lost a model which has had many trouble free flights. It seemed like the signal just blanked out .When tested af...

Re: Reciever switches

Perhaps I am lucky Bob but many modellers used toggle switches, which petrol engines can vibrate them to fail drastically.I was in the mower business and many chainsaws and strimmers were fitted with these and I was constantly replacing them due to falling to pieces internally. The electronic and mag...
