Re: More content at shows

All, in agreement with Lynne and in reference to the AGM whereby it was stated that we are not gaining any "new" members, whether they be young or older people, we are not experiencing growth. To this we are only "displaying" our models (whatever they are) to a "known" ...

Re: Reduction Drive

Peter, potentially you could be looking at a 28x10 or 30x10 . However just a pointer I know there are guys in the Dawn Patrol that have Zenoah 38's fitted with a reduction drive that fly their 1/3 scale Sopwith Pup's and they fly well. As for me my 1/3 scale Fokker DVII I used to fly was fitted with...

Re: Show helpers and pilots

For those with helpers that are not yet pilots, how about having 2 duty pilots ( a mode 1 and a mode 2 ) available at the pilots box ? Lets say for example there are 20 Dawn Patrol in the air, is it really needed to have the 20 helpers ready to grab the TX rather than retreat to the pits area until...

Re: The LMA Web Site

Guys, I actually do a build thread onto the RCSB website whenever I'm doing something whether it be a refurb or an actual build. I only do it there as it is encouraged on their site plus I get a lot of "how to" & "wot next" to look out for from the guys there! As we don't ten...

Re: Oratex v Solatex

Chaps, the owners of Solartex are only selling off their stock as they have tried every avenue to sell the business but no takers. I spoke to one of the owners myself & that is their position, hence once stock has gone then it's gone.

Re: Solartex is back.

Chaps, having spoken to Solarfilm today, it seems that they are only selling off their stocks. Manufacturing ceased in March as they chose to close the business after nobody has come forward with a business plan to purchase the company. Therefore get your Solarfilm products now, once they're gone th...

I think we should keep the name of the association as it is, I think re-branding is not a good idea albeit companies who have done whereby they have changed their product names, Mars confectionary for instance changed the chocolate "Marathon" bars and became "Snickers", LG produc...

Re: Need help with design - electronics

Not wanting to put a damper on things but your mixed voltages are going to be an issue here. Also the use of a "common earth" will also be a problem. First thing you need to do is find bulbs of a common voltage but also the current draw from your stated bulbs is quite high, can you not use...

Allan, the Airworld P51 is similar in size to the TopFlite P51 having an 86" wingspan. Are you looking for a top quality cockpit, if so look at http://www.aerocockpit.com/north-american-p-51d-mustang-complete-cockpit-ready-made--rmk-03-5- Otherwise you can go to the TopFlite site & use thei...
