Re: Len Gardner 4 1/2 '' wheels

Hi Keith, if you do not have any luck in obtaining a pair of Len Gardner wheels, please let me know as I can provide an alternative set of wheels. We do the 3, 4 and early 5 spoke arrangement for the Spitfire.

Re: Turning 20x8 propellers

Brian, various model suppliers sell tube shims to make up the space. PropGuy are one of the suppliers I use. In the past I have drilled out the pre-drilled hole to match the shim and slid the shim onto the shaft and then the prop onto the shim. One tip is to ensure the shim is slightly shorter in le...

Rob, sounds reasonable! Yes some folk probably do have "time on their hands"!!

Re: Over 20Kg Scheme to be Over 25kg?

If an model is under 25kg with fuel, it will no longer need an exemption as of next year, and new models won't need any inspections if under 25kg. If it is over 25kg it will continue to need an exemption and new models will still need an exemption, and we're currently reviewing the process with the...

Re: Wanted Toni clark 1.33 Sopwith pup kit

Mike, the Toni Clark Pup Kit is not quite a 1/3 scale, it is actually a 30% (1.30). I did notice on the BMFA a Mick Reeves Camel kit going for a reasonable price?

Re: Convair YF2Y-1 Sea Dart

Hi Cary, Thanks :) Good to hear from you and I'm so pleased the P51 is still going strong. I still love to build with wood and after this is finished I plan to treat myself to a traditional kit and build a large scale Tiger Moth for those lazy summer evenings! Cheers, Alex Hi Alex, the TopFlite P-5...

Re: Convair YF2Y-1 Sea Dart

Alex, a magnificent project, technically brilliant and a far distance away from the TopFlite P-51 that you started to build not so many years ago! Thanks to you I now cherish that P-51 along with the full size aircraft that I modelled it on and have flown both on many occasions! I wish you every suc...

Re: New Zenoah 38cc

Also run her in using Mineral 2 stroke oil for about 1 gallon before changing over to synthetic (unless you want to keep it on mineral oil). The engine static should easily pull 55-5750 rpm using a 19x10 prop. It will rev more by about 400-500 rpm when in flight. Run her rich on the bench for a few ...

Bob, get MorrisMiniMotors to get you a Pitts type exhaust and ask them to rotate the exhausts round to suit your requirements. They made a scale exhaust system for my P-51 last year and it works superbly!
