Re: Quadra 100 Engines spares

Hi David
After running into the outfield it nosed over and clipped the spinner and might have bent the crank shaft. Crank is out and gone to a friends engineering shop to check alignment/true but might need a crank if found to have caused damage.

Re: Melting lead for ballast

My method is exactly that ! Steel tin (cleaned) with a pouring spout bent into top lip. I make a mould from hard wood offcuts to the size I require. I put the lead scrap in the tin, then heat it up on the vice jaws till liquid (with workshop door open to ventilate). Lift off with big grips and pour ...

Cheers all
That seems positive . I just acquired a 1/5 scale Skyraider with a Zenoah lump so that gives me confidence for that model. Will have a look round for best deal on set of 4 for the multi.

best choice for multiple 50cc petrol engines ?

Afternoon all advice and user opinions on petrol engine brands please Currently running 4 x 50cc RCGF engines but ongoing niggles with reliability are becoming very frustrating. RCGF have been helpful with spare parts but would rather not need them at all. Can anyone provide opinions on other brands...

1/5 scale bombs drop tanks etc

Evening all does anyone know of a source for 1/5 scale underwing stores - bombs, rockets, drop tanks etc. I really need Vietnam era ordnance, ie Mk82 bombs rather than WW2 type iron bombs as it's to kit out a 1/5 Skyraider in USAF south east asia trim I have scoured the net and the LMA galleries but...

Weslake 342 - any users out there?

Evening all
I am looking for anyone who is currently using a Weslake 342 twin. I would like to know what oil mix and type you are using. The data sheet states 25:1 and Silkolene comp 2 but i wondered if anyone has tried different oil and ratio mixes and how they got on ?

cheers

1/4 scale Servo repair - any suggestions ?

Morning all I am trying to find out if there is anyone out there who can repair futaba servo's. The unit in question is a Futaba S3302 1/4 scale servo and rather than purchase a new one, a repair would be preferred as it is only to be used on the tail wheel. Is there anyone out there who is able to ...

Flaperons - thoughts please

Hi all. i am quite new to the LMA and starting to get into larger models. My current models are not massive by any standards (around 80-90inches) but its a start ;) I have a concern with one of my heavier models, a Cessna O2. I fly from a tarmac runway at Wroughton and the cessna rolls on and on aft...
