Big thanks chaps. Ordered IGN system from Apache Aviation Wed. Arrived to day, fitted in 1/2HR
works perfect. Thats saves me about £100 compared to a Tony Clark one.

Zenoah Ignition system

Is there an alternetive IGN. sysytem for the Z20. A replacement costs £130 , that's more than halfe the price of a new engine.Wondering if there is a cheaper one that works. Symptoms of mine. The difference between 13mm dia and 15mm may seem small but the area difference is 25% 15mm dia is 25%larger in area than 13mmdia.

Seems to calc.OK. I used some values for two calcs, just changing the speed from 50 to 100 and the force was four times, as expected.

Thanks Andrew, yes , we obtained the champ in1965 ish. The fus was all steel tube constution. The engine was ,i think, a continental
flat four cylinder. Info. probably of no use.

Hi Barry Just purchased the futaba 2.4 8 channel module to fit my existing Zap with 2 eight channel and 1 seven channel reciever. Hi Barry, Myself and my son Sam have approx 40 planes, all with Spektrum 2.4 receivers. We fly everything from indoor to very large. About to buy my first 2.4 gear.Just wondering if there is a predominance of a particular make used by LMA members,or is there no particular favorite make.To answere my question would probably reqire a survey.

Hi Arthur. There is a brand of silicon tube suitable to gas engines. I was looking at some just recently in Hobby Stores Beeston Notts .They do mail order.
