Re: Help 1/3 scale sopwith pup motor

Paul the Zenoah 38 runs a Toni Clarke reduction gear. The 62 cc Zenoah is usually mated to the Mick Reeves reduction gear. Now the Dawn Patrol pups if fitted with reduction drive would be the 38cc with Toni Clark, but Roy Packer is building one with a 62 cc Zenoah fitted with a Schlundt reduction ge...

Ex Roger Bale 1/3 Fairey Swordfish

This model is well known on the show scene , my plan was to bring this back into the show scene this year but work commitments etc make this impossible so as with thevHeinkel it has to go, the entire rear half of the fusalage has been rebuilt, detail addeld to wings and fusalage. This model is disas...

Re: Ziroli Beech Test Flight

Very nice Mr V , she seems to be a nice flier ,, perhaps a tad quick, but once you have the trotters retracted and a bit more stick time you can slow her up a bit. Seems to ground handle ok so you must be pretty happy with it!!

Re: The £50 1/4 scale Nieuport 11

Dave that does look very nice , I agree a translucent wing looks great and have used that on my Albatross C111, pity you dead sticked in I had a Neuiport 17bis powered by a Zenoah 38 , it was a lovely flying model , dead stick landings were pretty straight forward, mine was totalled when a aileron s...

Re: Heinkel He111

Well, its finally ready to go, thanks to Steve Vodrey and Cary Bailey for helping balance the model, Couple of slight issues to sort out , one being to adjust the throttle linkages as "prescribed" by Mr Vodrey and second to have a look at the U/C valve which keeps venting to atmosphere aft...

Re: Retract systems

Wayne... as Mr Visdrey says, the ones from Kingfisher are very good quality, you can get the gear and all asociated bits and pieces from them . mine dropped straight in the model , consider the Heinkel weighs in at 60KG , they are very robust..

Re: Propguy

just dropped on this thread, must say I am somewhat shocked, I have always found Prop guy to be excellent, even to the point where at one show he let me take the prop and fly it and come back a day later to pay. I do know over the winter months he tends to go to warmer climes ,,,

Mike
take care I did just this, and the load into the charger was sufficient to get so hot it nearly melted the plug that goes into the charger from the battery ,,,

Chargers are not my strongest area but I do advise caution !!

Hi John
I have both the Mick Reeves unit and the one from Wolfgang Schlundt,, in my opinion the Schlund unit is way superior plus, if you going with a WW1 model you can swing a very scale prop.. Check out his web site

if you go on the Kingfisher Aviation web site, Pauls Mobile number is there, I spoke to him in the week leading up to Christmas and he delivered a set of Undercarrriage to me.
