Re: Reciever switches

Futaba slide switches were always poor. The large JR 'PCM 10' switch were and are the best std type switch, still available today. But the daddy is still Powerbox's large slide switches (if you don't use their electronic fail to on types-like 95% of jet modellers!) these are capable of handling decen...

Re: JR DX12.

Alan

Do you mean if you switch on when the Tx is cold, the screen pulses and it does not boot up? If so, its the Tx battery is struggling to deliver the higher current requirement during the DSM boot up when the output searches for a connection.
New battery.

22 x10 3 blade for pull.
If you can run a 2 blade clearance 24 x 10 or 25 x 10 2 blade
Pretty certain the prop pitch bolts is the same as DA/DLE 85-100

Re: smoke nipple advice

You cannot put a smoke nipple that close to the flange on a canister set up, it will suck fluid into the engine, foul the plug and reduce power. On the Zimmermann set up you have its designed to have the smoke nipple in the canister inlet tube, just in front of the canister body. Either way you cann...

Re: wanted DA prop drill

Well maybe it was a 'poor'quality DLE jig as I have both genuine DA and DLE (from MacGregor) jigs and If I hold them together they are identical. I've sold lots of DLE type to DA customers with no comment. Pillar drill is only OK if the bed is flat and 90 degrees to the drill. Props need to be suppo...

There is no difference DLE and DA use 5mm bolts and industry std hole centres. SECRAFT also make one that comes with 5.1mm drill

Re: Advice - 1/4 scale cjhipmunk

Richard. What power set up? Its a slippery airframe with big efficient wings, I would say Flaps are needed. There is a test flight video of Pete Aston's example with an OS 40GF and although the tick over was not that slow for the test flight, even with some flap it took time to slow down. We changed...

Re: Evolution 80 cc

Neil

Sounds too big, we use 26 x 10's on the 3 Evo 80's we run. They are on full canister set ups too.
Never checked rpm, but on a 27 x 10 I would think you are in the low 5's (depends on brands, some prop manufacturers have a strange idea of 10" pitch)

Re: Spitfire flaps

Split flaps are completely different again, but all the Spitfires I have flown with scale flaps, showed perfect flap trim...tiniest amount of pitch down. This is based on near scale amount of flap, it you set in the 'lift zone' with less flap it will be different. I have never used Flap/elevator com...
