Re: voltage regulators

Just as a point...there is no such thing as 4.8v requirement in the Rc industry. Its a hang over from JR going on about 4.8v servos...where what they meant was 4 cell Nicad. Charge one of those and 1.5v per cell x 4 = 6.0v. This applies to all std voltage servos. Its why PB set their std output at 5...

Re: Wanted JR DS8421 Servo

Cam FYI the 8421 is the same as an 8411 and 8425 in size torque etc. Just the 8421 only has a metal output gear and the others servo all gears are metal.

Re: Reciever switches

Futaba slide switches were always poor. The large JR 'PCM 10' switch were and are the best std type switch, still available today. But the daddy is still Powerbox's large slide switches (if you don't use their electronic fail to on types-like 95% of jet modellers!) these are capable of handling decen...

Re: JR DX12.

Alan

Do you mean if you switch on when the Tx is cold, the screen pulses and it does not boot up? If so, its the Tx battery is struggling to deliver the higher current requirement during the DSM boot up when the output searches for a connection.

Re: smoke nipple advice

You cannot put a smoke nipple that close to the flange on a canister set up, it will suck fluid into the engine, foul the plug and reduce power. On the Zimmermann set up you have its designed to have the smoke nipple in the canister inlet tube, just in front of the canister body. Either way you cann...
