Re: Gary Allen plans for Jungmeister

Hi Rod, I owned one of John's plan built jungmeisters, it was a gorgeous model, although I didn't build it, or get to fly it, as it had had many flying hours, and needed refurbishing, and a modern petrol engine & radio, sadly to say, I never got it finished, and sold it on to another LMA member,...

Re: For Sale: 1/3 Scale Electric Crackerjack, turn key model

Yet again, for the second time I have been let down by a buyer, trouble is, these days people want something but aren't prepared to put themselves out to travel to buy it, I have often done a 250 mile or so round trip to buy a model, as there not always on your doorstep, and when you get the stupid ...

Re: Foreign calls for a model for sale anyone?

In the last six or seven years, I have been into buying and selling antiques, mainly specialising in antique silver which is all sold through eBay, and I have sold loads of stuff abroad, even to China, Russia, Korea, as well as USA, Canada, Australasia and of course Europe, and I must say that all h...

Re: Journal

As an ex Journal Editor, I did the job for a couple of years, I will say it was blooming hard work putting it together, and getting it out on time, especially as at that time getting it printed and posted was the biggest issue but Dave managed to turn it all around, and has been very dedicated to it...

Re: Mobile phones on flight line

A lot of these unexplained incidences can be caused by a flight battery, Nicads are notorious for suddenly playing up, then people couldn't find anything wrong with them, usually under load.

Re: An Update on the UK Regulations for Model Flyers

What a sad state of affairs our innocent hobby has succumbed to, by bored uninformed officials, who've got nothing better to do, and just want to ruin the innocent fun normal people are enjoying, we have the BMFA, LMA, CAA, to look after and regulate our hobby, so why do these jumped up officials ne...

Re: Flair 1/4 scale Tiger Moth

The Flair range of models were great models to build to getting you started but there were other truer scale Moth's out there, like the ones produced by Duncan Hutson etc. you could always find a plan and get a kit cut, then at least you would have fresh wood to build it with, rather than old dried ...

Dear all, these days I occasionally go out and fly a modern foamy but haven't flown for three years due to life and weather etc. getting in the way but I am totally aggrieved by this latest proposed legislation, after all, we are all supposed to be big kids going out to play with our toy aeroplanes,...

Re: new registration rebellion

Without Prejudice: Unfortunately, drones were a brilliant invention but unwittingly sounded the death knell for our hobby. We were okay flying our Junior 60's etc. but we strayed into the realms of government & military defences with the drone. Model aircraft and helli's are usually flown within...
