Re: The Global “anti-drone” hysteria continues..

Drones are a problem unfortunately, I have heard a report of some idiot from the local village flying a drone over a locked down airfield to see what the SAS were doing on it :(

Drones and clay clay pigeon shooting should be a good mix --- PULL !

Re: Dft Consultation - Future of Drones in the UK

PacSec Security researcher Jonathan Andersson has developed a tidy hardware module capable of fully hijacking a variety of popular drones and remote control gear running over the most popular protocol. Trend Micro's advanced security group manager told The Register he developed the Icarus box, and i...

Re: Sky-120 by Tony Nijhuis

I vote for Spektrum radio, I took a 30 something year break and everything had changed ! Back then servos came 2 flavours, for any given stick movement there were clockwise an anticlockwise ones, if something moved the wrong way then you swapped the servo for the other type. These days they all move...

Re: Need help with design - electronics

Have a look at fiber optics, something like https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_nkw=231917439525&_sacat=0 The 3mm end glow is 14 fibre optic strands each Ø 0.25mm with one brass ferrule (Ø3 x 15mm).

Re: Need help with design - electronics

I vote for LEDs or fiber optic from one master bulb or LED. If you really want to use traditional bulbs then the voltages that you looking for in your post are easy to deal with as regulators are available in 9 and 5 volt flavor, a 3s lipo will give you the 12 volts and power the other regulators. T...

Re: Pipe

Have you thought about copper, the outside of 22mm fittings is about an inch. We have all sorts of bending equipment at work, but that small bend radius on the inside makes it very difficult as the back of the bend has to stretch a lot and the inside of the bend tends to squash. Could you do a 45 de...

Club talks

The club that I belong to is looking for people to give a talk about something on winter club nights, no doubt there are other clubs looking for the same. Recently we have had very interesting talks by such as ~ a female ex RAF and current air ambulance pilot who sank the chopper in a muddy field, a...
