Re: 2018 confirmations

The chedder fly in fits nicely between Woodspring Wings 30 June –1 July and Yeovilton Air Day 7th July, and provides a base camp to visit both :)

RIAT is 13-15 July and Farnborough is 16 - 22 July

Re: Zenoah 38 fuel mix and recomended oil.

I use a measuring bottle such as ebay 201954980758, fill to petrol line, add oil to 32:1 line and shake to mix :)

You need to use less cells for a bigger prop and can use more cells on a smaller prop, this keeps the current down.

Re: Electronic Conspicuity, the CAA and Model Aircraft

Re: Cutting an Ali cowl

I presume you are using domed rivets, the cosmetic way to fit them is to countersink the back of the plate, cut the rivet so that it sticks out of the countersunk side about 1/2 the shank diameter, put the dolly in the vice and support the dome of the rivet in it, use the ball end of a hammer to bea...

Re: Cutting an Ali cowl

For rivets you use a rivet snap and dolly if they are for structurally joining two plates, if they are just cosmetic then you use the dolly and a countersink.
