Stolen at the Nats

Today some delightful fellow aeromodeller stole two receivers from my bring and buy stall(how desparate they must be)obviously they will never show up. Although I was being as carefull as possible some slippery toad managed to get away with the goods, makes you wonder what else they made off with fr...

Re: Utter Stupidity or not?

Despite this not being a good thing, had it been organised properly and done slighty different it would have been quite a good acheievment, similar to some of the channel crossings. Maybe it could have brought us some good publicity. These guys are clearly good flyers just a shame they are acting th...

Re: 1/4 SCALE BF109E

Wings fully skinned and now being glassed, a bit of glassing has also been done on the fuselage. The tailplane has been made and is ready for fitting, the elevator servo's will be fitted in the tail, not good for weight issues but prevents the use of snakes which will stick out too much. Pictures co...

Re: Mick Reeves 1/4 Mk9 Spitfire

Just a little update. The port wing has had to be rubbed back in order to remove all of the non scale mushroom head rivets and also to have some horrid lumps an bumps sorted out. The starboard wing also required some attention as it hadn't been glassed very nicely. Some of the radio and air system h...

Re: Ziroli Mustang Engine

A Good clip Bob, not surprising this one was being given a good thrashing when you see who was in the driving seat. I do like the Hurri and the one in the clip was really nice and different, unfortunatly it had gone to Canada before I joined TFC so never got to have a good close up sniff round it an...

Re: Ziroli Mustang Engine

Hi Mark Thanks for your input, I consider myself told(didn't mind the rant). Thing is the 62 hasn't really got a lot of guts, they seem to work ok for the 1/4 scale Spitfires and may be ok for the flying barge (Hurricane, which has the upward performance of a one legged frog) but stick that engine i...

Ziroli Mustang Engine

Hi to anyone who has or has had a ziroli P51, Just being nosey, what engines have you used? The plan has a Z62 drawn in but I didn't know if this engine will really give a good vertical performance. I was thinking the new evolution 80 would be better.

Re: Mick Reeves 1/4 Mk9 Spitfire

Thanks everyone. Although my original post was about it's shape I was also concerned about the 3mm backplate but I was hoping as it was the spinner supplied in the kit it would have been tried and tested and be up to the job. I checked the Reeves website and saw the offending spinner on some complet...

Re: 1/4 SCALE BF109E

Emils been outside for a sanding session, not a cowardly Hurricane in sight. Had to cover it up quick though coz you never know when one of these new Tiffies might appear low over the fields and launch rockets at it. Oh not again, no pics as a big red message has said "board attachement quota r...

1/4 SCALE BF109E

This BF109 is being built from a brand new design from Phil Noel. The constuction method is basically the same as the Meister "G" model and it also features a flat bottom wing and flat section tailplane. I asked Phil to design this model for use in a sort film celebrating the 70th annivers...
