Re: More content at shows
Hear hear Jack - the LMA’s finances are paramount and there never is a shortage of flyers for the shows,in fact the opposite - usually over subscribed. Some years ago the top pilots received expenses, which has now stopped thank goodness - the next step is to see what happens If some of the freebies a...

Re: More content at shows
I somehow think the point of getting traders at shows is being missed - the point has been made that without traders shows will struggle no matter how many 3D flyers perform. Traders are really struggling financially so some reduction of attending show fees may be a help. This could be a temporary me...

Re: Mike Smart 1/4 DHC Chipmunk
I Wayne fibreglassing isn’t too difficult- if I can do it anybody can . I have a feeling Phil Clark did a tutorial on the subject somewhere,by the way his cloth and resin are I think superior to others on the market and do make the job easier.if you give him a ring I’m sure you’ll find him more than...

Re: Mike Smart 1/4 DHC Chipmunk
Hi Wayne I built one from Mike Smart plans 3or4years ago - no problems with the build but the canopy was hard to get hold of.Luckily Robin Woodhead had a few pulled ,excellent quality at a very reasonable price, don’t know if he’s still got any. I powered mine with a Quadra 42 ,as on the plan - excel...

Re: DLE 55RA Silencing
I made a double piped one for a CRRC 45cc - a few pics show a half made one - the box section and tubing bought from B&Q plus some scrap steel plate for ends and blanking pieces. All silver soldered together. A0DB42B2-2106-4042-BD5B-1C622E624878.jpeg 47958A7A-92D9-4B5B-A4FF-A6D585D8948D.jpeg EC1A...

Re: DLE 55RA Silencing
Hi John I have made a few of Sid King silencers - mostly for Zenoah 38’s - work very well Last one I made was for a Chinese CRRC 45 - quietened the bark completely - very successful ,should work well on a DLE 55 ,far better than pepper pots which I found restricted the engine and caused some over he...
