Re: Dave Tappin

Life has it's finalities whether they be sooner or later. I have not known Dave that long and only briefly when at the various shows with the Dawn Patrol guys, however from my time talking to Dave he was in many ways a gentle chap, filled with adventure but also quiet in his response, knowledgeable ...

Zenoah 38 Carb

Chaps, has anybody got a Zenoah 38 carb available? I need the unit that has the choke butterfly fitted not the chokeless type.
Thank you

Steve, could I add to my request for some of this tube? Dave Whiston is working in Dubai at present and cannot log onto the site, he has asked if I could request that he would like 2 lengths of each size tube please.

Re: Propguy

Same here! Steve is a great guy and for some reason this does not seem to add up as I find him so honest! At one show I bought a prop off him as I broke one during the day, went back to pay for it after the flight and he then invited me to join him and some other friends to have an evening meal! The...

Re: Wanted - Retracts for topflight 1/5scale p51d 60cc version

Richard, the TopFlite P51 that you own is originally sized to fly on a 38cc motor or a US Engines 40cc. You can fit a larger motor in but will require quite a bit of modifying at the front end and wing strengthening.

Re: easy start for 80cc twin

Rich, just make the simple repair with a replacement battery holder, which I'm sure you are competent to do. Don't bother trying to adapt something because getting it wrong will be costly especially if you need to start a Zenoah 80!
Otherwise just as I said before, get some flying done!

Re: easy start for 80cc twin

Richard, why change something that is not broken, has worked for years trouble free and costs pence to replace the batteries? you are only adding in an additional point of failure by trying to fit incompatible parts. Just change the batteries and get flying!

Re: wanted

John, you will find that as the Byron P51 has a wingspan of 85" that the Top Flite canopy will fit with very slight alteration especially if you are making it a sliding canopy

After extensive research Tetra 4207 3mm 4mm right angled nipple fittings do the job.
They are available from Japan through Amazon.

Hi Rick, the photograph of Bob holding the completed P51 is now owned by myself and will be flying next year. What is the event you speak of?
