Re: Re: Covid-19 safety EDITED

For disinfecting areas then diluted bleach is the best option, an earlier post gives more info. It is best not to let the virus in the door to start with, I spray shopping and the post with meths outside and wait until it drys before bringing it inside, and use a strict procedure when going to the s...

Meths is not suitable for using on your hands as it contains 10% methanol ! Pure ethanol is suitable for use in the recipes in the earlier posts

Re: Re: Covid-19 safety EDITED

I have been using methylated spirits on everything that comes in the door as it is pure alcohol with stuff in it to make it un drinkable ! The cost of 99% isopropyl alcohol hit £35 per liter at one point, meths works out at £25 for 5L at the moment, wife asked why I had spent £60 on meths, I told he...

Re: Flying

Gate procedure should be gloves and hand sanitizer going in and out, that may require several pairs of gloves as gates should be closed if you had to open them, your not going to drive your car with contaminated hands / gloves are you ! Your gate key may be on your car / house key ring, do not use i...

Re: Fun stuff goes here.

When I was about 7 years old, I accompanied my father to the funeral of a friend of his, someone who I didn't even know. When we got there, I stayed in a corner waiting for the time to pass. Then a man approached me and said, 'Enjoy life kid, be happy because time flies. Look at me now, I didn't enj...

Re: CAA Operator I.D...what did we pay for

The whole point of the legislation is so when they net a drone flying drugs into a prison or such like, they can get the number from it and find the pilot unless it is over 20kg lol
They could have simply stood up and said that registration would be pointless and saved money !

Re: esc extension

Adding a small ceramic .1 in parallel will do nothing for what happens inside non Low ESR capacitors, yes it may well lower the measured ESR of the 2 together but it's like adding a garden hose pipe along side the Mersey Tunnel to help traffic flow :) Low ESR capacitors are not hard to find, the rul...

Re: esc extension

Use thicker motor wires than normal because of the length and twist the 3 together to minimise any interference from them.
If adding capacitors to the battery cables then use Low ESR ones

The rot is going both ways as I understand that top line Pro drone pilots are now being required to have a PPL in order to continue doing their job at places such at Scarebuss an Owing :(

Its worth fitting a hidden switch or link somewhere to the electric fuel pump, something like an XT60 that can be pulled out in the same way as removing the rotor arm from a petrol distributor.
