Walbro Fuel Inlet. Removeable?

Hi All, On a Zenoah 38 when fitted with a carb bend, the fuel inlet is turned to be adjacent to the exhaust and points straight toward the silencer. In use the fuel pipe softens in the heat and kinks, cutting off the fuel supply (and it a potential fire hazard) Pic for inf...

Re: Paint Masks

A bit of up front investment required, a vinyl cutter is well worth having and does most things down to about 12mm. Any less than that, a laser printer (waterproof ink) and decal paper

Hi Tom,
On that model the wings are very flexible and the rigging does all the work.

Re: new registration rebellion

Having read Rob's column in the new mag, it just makes you wonder where this latest development has come from. Clearly Rob was not expecting it and assuming that in his discussions with the CAA etc, they haven't mentioned it, - then who the heck is driving this? Having had time to consider the new p...

Re: new registration rebellion

Consultation = 1.We decide what we want to do - 2.Ask the views of interested parties -3. Implement 1 Have to say that I'm very disappointed to see this development, It seems to be a tax on all the law abiding to pay for measures to confront those who will never comply. When has there ever been an i...

Re: 2019 Air Navigation order Update - Potentially Important!

One slight benefit included in this ANO update is that the existing restriction on flying unmanned aircraft over 7kg below 400ft in controlled airspace has now been removed, as the new restrictions apply to all unmanned aircraft up to 20Kg and maintain the 400ft limit for all unmanned aircraft. Am I...

Re: Over 20Kg Weight Limit

On one of the FaceAche forums, someone answered a query to the effect that they had been informed at the LMA AGM that the limit was now 25kg wet. (They weren't) It is amazing, 1) How people glibly say these things as known facts when they have no real idea and 2) Once something has been read on a co...

Yes another good issue. I always look forward the most to build articles of any kind. Don B's are always a good read and make me feel much better about my own builds which lurch from crisis to disaster.

Re: DLE 55RA Silencing

I can't speak about the DLE 55 but I have two engines with Pitts style Chinese silencers each with twin outlets. Removing one outlet completely certainly helps and took some of the bark of the noise. The other is on a 26cc two stroke and I blocked off one hole and also reduced the diameter of the se...

Re: The LMA Web Site

Well, thanks for the responses and explanations. Rob, I fully understand what you say and I have no wish to make work for anyone but, on the other hand, it would be good for the long term future of the LMA if it preserved and made available the experience and expertise of those who have gone before....

The LMA Web Site

It's raining outside and in an idle moment I have been to the website to look back at past 'Featured aircraft builds' and LMA Members aircraft. One hasn't had any additions for several years and the others seems to have disappeared. It occurs to me that present and future LMA members will find such ...

Re: Lawn Mower Wanted

I would suggest that a ride on Lawn Tractor is intended for large gardens and not the areas of grass that most flying fields contend with. I don't know the details of this machine :- eBay item number: 143000035236 but I have had two identical machines, (still have one) These were commercial grass cu...

Re: petrol proof paint?

I use cellulose paint from motor refinishing outlets. TBH, not much neat petrol ever gets onto the paint but past models have reached a good age without signs of lifting.

Re: Titan 23 petrol engine, glow equivalent?

I use a Z23 in a Seagull Yak (The yellow and black thing that has been around for years) Approx 68" span. I expected it to be a bit lame but it flies very well with decent performance. It is a tad nose heavy even with the battery located at the back of the cockpit area. Like all Zenoah's, nice ...
