Re: Zenoah 38 Discontinued.

I saw that it wasn't listed on their web site. Is it discontinued by the manufacturer? or just that they have stopped selling it.

The 38 has to be the most versatile and reliable motor ever used in modelling.

Gee Bee trio

Its a bit quiet on here so I thought that I would post these two pics of John Braithwaite's building activities of recent months. rsz_img_0154.jpg Not just one 100" Gee Bee racer but three identical airframes. I believe that these are a scale up of the ARTF models that were widely flown by the ...

Re: Cutting foam wing cores. What is max span?

Just to add a little more to this which may be of use to someone else, I have made a 6ft bow but I then hit a wall in finding something with enough volts/ amps to bring the wire to a suitable temperature. On the smaller bows I have an old MFA power unit, 20 volts ac current, No detectable gain in th...

Re: Cutting foam wing cores. What is max span?

Hi Dave, That's encouraging to know. I sort of thought it should be OK if I'm careful but didn't want to waste a load of foam without checking. 8 1/2 foot!! what am I worried about! Thanks for the advice, it very helpful. I'll try cutting the blanks with my gear and see how it goes. I may be startin...

Cutting foam wing cores. What is max span?

Hi to All, This years building season has arrived by Government imposition so perhaps best to make a start. I want to build a three piece wing where the plug in outer wings have a span of 60 inches. I have cut cores in the past with a span of 40 inch each core. As I recall, they were cut very slowly...

Re: Wanted 1/4 Scale sprug U/C for Precedent Stampe

The Flair u/c set for the Tiger Moth has become something of a Holy Grail to find. I have seen and assembled kit on a model and it was a first class set up using simple parts and some electrical fittings as I recall. It worked really well. I was hoping someone would come up with something that would...

Steve, Chris, Thank you both for the helpful suggestions. I have put in a call to Sarik this afternoon. They are going to look on Monday and get back to me. I had no idea that Glens Models were still on the go so thanks for the tip.

Re: Wanted Any leads on a large canopy 9.5"W x 15"L

Hi All, I have been shown a canopy for a Glens Models Cap 232 of around 90 inch span. The canopy for that is about the right size but it's still attached to a functional model so not available. Anyone have a similar canopy of a lead as to where I might get one. I take it the Glens Models is now defu...
