John, you will find that as the Byron P51 has a wingspan of 85" that the Top Flite canopy will fit with very slight alteration especially if you are making it a sliding canopy

Not for me, too risky having any form of open flame! I use these small tubular 60W electric heaters that just keep the frost off when I'm not in the workshop. When I'm in there I just use a small electric heater. Saying that I'm going to fit a curtain within the workshop to add a layer of separation...

Yes! 1st rule of leaving an engine for a long period of time, leave fuel in the tank to keep diaphragm lubricated. 2nd rule is no fuel in tank change diaphragm!

Solution, buy a "powersafe" type of receiver that has 2 battery inputs specially designed to handle batteries should 1 fail the other battery is utilised! Simples

Edgar, a twin battery set up is a good start, capacity can be from 2500mA up using 5 cells NimH of Sub-C size. You will then easily get 4 flights on that set up dependant upon your type of servo.
