Re: Bing carbs

Thank you, Tony.
I fired off an e-mail to them. I think I have the only 400 with a Bing carb. Most seem to have either a Walbro or Zama.

Cheers,
Dave.

Bing carbs

Gentlemen. I have a Moki 400 equipped with a Bing 49A carb. After 5 years of use, I decided to put in new gaskets, diaphragms etc. as a preventative measure. The engine/carb still work well, just seems about time for a new kit. However, over here in the Colonies all Bing carbs and parts are disconti...

Same here.
It remembers my log in info, but the "remember me" box doesn't remember me. Have to tick the box each time.

Re: Radial engine choice

Ok, some slight updates... The moki 250 (5 cylinder) is aprox 12inches diameter But I've also found this: Moki 250 (7 cylinder) Although it says the manufacturer is a company called RCS, in the video it states it's a moki... There's very little information on it, but it's about 11inches diameter. T...

Another Mossie flys....

A Mosquito (F-Freddie) that has been under restoration here in Vancouver, and latterly in Victoria, B.C. has taken to the air with Steve Hinton at the controls. The owner, a very private person, who also owns a Spitfire, will be taking delivery in Vancouver. I have seen the Mossie when it was at Van...

Mick Reeves Models e-mail hacked????

Is there anyone that can pop in to Mick Reeves Models and tell him his e-mail account has been hacked. I, and a few others received an e-mail from "mick reeves models", and it has his current e-mail address, stating they are stuck in the Carribean somewhere, and need $1900.00 US etc, or wo...

I phoned them this morning (my time). Andrew was out, but did talk to another very pleasant gentleman. Hopefully, all will be sorted soon.
We'll see.

Help, please. Just Engines

I contacted Andrew, at Just Engines, on Sept. 24th., and ordered a couple of silencers for a NGH 38cc 4str. On Oct. 10, he said they had just come in and they would be on the way to me. Since then, nothing, no replies to emails (I haven't phoned). My Visa has not been charged. They seemed to have dr...

Re: Balancing a Sky 120

Is it possible to move some of the internals, (battery etc.) rearward instead of adding weight?
If you have to add weight to the rear, could you put it under the tailwheel mount? Not quite so visible?

Cheers,
Dave.

I've seen first hand this happening when the flyer was using a carbon fibre spinner and backplate. the resin in the backplate softened, and eventually the whole lot departed the front of the engine...sheared bolts...no damage upon landing and nobody in the line of fire of the errant prop. I check pr...
