Can anyone help with DX9 Tranny programme

HELP !!!! I recently bought a DX9 2.4 set,and have tried it out in several smaller models,but on fitting to larger models now with flaps,i want to use the left hand slider flap control instead of the pre programmed 2 position flap switch--and after studying the manual for hours,i still cant work out...
