That brings back memories of my control line days, I new there was a way just could not remember it, You've stirred my brain I can now recall using meths but with blotting paper and a hot clothes iron. Thanks again thats tomorrows job..........

I am at present refurbishing a Piper Super Cub which has been flying for the past 10yrs. Now I've stripped the Solartex off I find the front end is in need of re-glueing around the engine compartment, Problem is it is fuel soaked and feels greasey. We also did one at the NEC B'ham some while ago, We had quite a few aircraft on display and spent all weekend chatting to all sorts of people about our hobby, most of whom were amazed at the quality and size of our models. Hi Nick, I've been flying a Hannibal with a 2 piece wing for over two years, Quite easy to do with a tube and a secondary carbon rod towards the trailing edge, I put a split former (1/4 ply ) on the leading edge with 1/2" dowels epoxied in, to act as retainers in the fuz. and 6mm bolts near the...

Easy enough to repair, the "switch" is just a cube of foam rubber between two copper strips encased within the rubber handle which you press to activate the motor. Remove the end case and the switch can then be removed, slide off the outer rubber sleeve to reveal two copper strips between ...
