Re: Mick Reeves 1/4 Mk9 Spitfire

I think it might have done Alan, My customer brought it from someone called Chris but I don't know his surname. The Chris who half built it sold it to my customer and then charged him extra to finish it but after about 9 months no work had been done and the money had gone. Whoever built it clearly h...

Re: Mick Reeves 1/4 Mk9 Spitfire

All the camoflage and markings have now been sprayed on with the aid of some excellent paint masks from flightline graphics, just got to put the code letters on tomorrow. Should have some new pictures of it over the weekend.

Re: cheapest place for CNC cutting

Hi Stewart, I haven't bothered with many of the errors as it has been quicker just to alter the pieces myself. The one part I could not alter was that the very large aluminium undercarriage that was pre-drilled to match the mounting holes in the fus - but in different places. I spoke with Leon at B...

Re: Meister P47D Refurbishment

Theres hundreds of good 8th P47 schemes to do although people seem to be more imaginative when it comes to Thunderbolts than they do with Spitfires and Mustangs, most aeromodellers think there were only four Spitfires during the war.

Re: 17' tony Nijhuis Lancaster Build

Morning Rob---pics looking good,i can remember my Lanc in that stage of build---a couple of things that stand out that will give you problems later[from experience with mine[,the angle of the retract legs need a packing piece to angle forward a touch---and the engine bulkheads need cutting out at t...

Re: Meister P47D Refurbishment

The problem with Mr Pilot is that he is probably a 1/4 scale pilot and the Meister P47 is not quite 1/4 and not quite 1/5th scale. Whilst we're picking on him he looks a bit pasty too, cockpit does look good though. Have you picked a new scheme for it yet? if not choose an 8th AF scheme I have a cun...

He's right you can run around in a P47 cockpit, Wildcats the same, need to make your pilot look forward Gregg or he could have a nasty accident

Re: 20%VULCAN

Hi Dave, This model is looking more and more like a real monster now, is there anyway you can get all the bits in one place for a picture of the whole thing so we can get an idea of how big this aircraft is?

Re: Meister P47D Refurbishment

Thats ok Gregg, you carry on. Steves will be ready for this season, I'm just working on it as and when, between other things, should be on it properly in early Feb. The paint masks arrived from Flightline Graphics last week, just got one wing to finish priming then I will be adding a bit of surface ...
