I have used many over the years.

Powerbox are good but £££££.

I would avoid ones that run off your rx pack.

The one that I had most success with is the MT smoke one. Had two sullivan skywriter ones and both siezed up after about 3 weeks. Had Pete tindal as well which were ok.

To save weight which Christophe payseant la roux used (I think) was to tap into the back plate of the engine to tap off the pressure. This inturn pressurised the smoke tank and then it was a mechanical shutoff valve which regulated the smoke fluid. I think thats how it was done.
