best connectors for fuse and wing joints

Postby Mike altham » October 24th, 2014, 9:13 am

I am just wondering what are the most common connectors used for wing joints and fuse joints that have 4 servo leads coming into it???? I have been looking at ashlok.

Mike.

Hi Mike, we've used Ashlocks on several models to date, the latest one being the Dak. I think the largest they do is a 12 way, which means 4 servo leads on one plug. Saves a lot of messing about and they have their own locking mechanism. Mike Whitehead has all the tools to do the leads / plugs and he does a really neat job. I think Phil at Fighteraces is the only source to get them from now, but I may be wrong. See you on Sunday? Jonesey.

HI Dave,

Thats what I was thinking of using as like you said they lock in. Do they get brittle over time?
Im afraid Sunday is a no go for me as Im pushing to get the rod done still. Centre section is now nearing completion so will just be the out wings then. If you going sunday could you poss pick me some up from Phil and also a shrader filler valve????

WIll give you a bell later.

Cheers,

Mike.
