Harry - I think you're going to have to visit Old Warden to get a close examination. Most photo's are unhelpful as the U/C suspension details are masked by the lower fuselage fairing -----.

Heres an external close up of the area. There seems to be a crossbar affair across the fuselage that picks up the top of the upper strut. Whether this is a one piece member or two piece hinged in the middle, bungeed the bottom of the fuselage is unclear from anything I have Harry. I have some large pics of the Old Warden Comper, give me your email address and I'll fire them over.
