Servo's

Hi,
I'm after some flap servo's for my Meister P47. I was going to use Hi-Tec 645MG's but they seem to buzz most of the time (not binding) when the weight of the flap is on them.
Can anyone recommend any powerfull "standard size" servo's to fix the problem?

Regards,

Sean.

They are buzzing because they are under tension holding them upright. Other servos may do the same. A retract servo (which switches off at the end of the travel) may help.

Hi Bob,
Thanks for the reply, the only trouble with retract servo's is that you can't change end points and speed etc.

Dose the buzzing stop when you hold/move the flap?.... :?:

Hi,
The servo doesn't buzz when it's moving only when it's stopped and holding the weight of the flap.

Sean, you need to have the servos working as efficiently as possible to help in the buzzing problem,
The servo throw percentage setting on your transmitter should be set as high as possible together with the shortest connecting point on your servo arm that gives the correct amount of throw.
This is a practice that should be used on all servos to ensure peak mechanical efficiency.
