Cellulose Paint Fuel Proofing?

Postby Frank Skilbeck » July 20th, 2023, 7:37 pm

Just finishing a model covered in Diacov and painted with automotive cellulose paint (sprayed), 2 stroke petrol powered, will be using 35/40:1 synthetic oil.
Will it need fuel proofing and if so what's recommended. Thanks

In my experience, no fuel proofing is needed for petrol powered models painted with automotive cellulose.
(For Glow, 2K laquer is said to be fuel proof although there are potential health issues with spraying that you need to be aware of)
