Jet Central Turbine Question

Postby Robert_Greenwood » November 29th, 2011, 7:23 am

Hello,

Does anyone know if you can use a 11,1v Lipo on a Jet Central turbine?

The manual says they can run on anything from 4.8 up to 15v ....but the manual is old so it doesn’t say much about Lipos... :S

I have E-mailed them but had no response! :(

Can anyone help?

Cheers
Rob

Hi Rob,
If the manual says 15volts then it will be fine. The voltage from a LiPo is no different to the voltage from any other battery. An 11.1v 3 cell LiPo when fully charged will be at a maximum of 4.3v per cell or 12.9v total, so well within the spec.

Andy

Thanks Andy :)

Turns out they E-mailed me an hour after posting this.... and they say DON'T use 11.1v even tho the manual says it can handle it.... only the ecu can handle the 15v not the valves or the motor

very good job they replied :)

Thanks again tho Andy!
