Does anyone have a pneumatic diagram of how a retract valve works

As I am going to contact festo to see if they have anything suitable

Hi Mike I purchased a second hand plane sometime ago which has 2 festo valves installed for the retracts,these are single valves coupled up to give a dual valve for air up/air down operation (3mm tubing). They also have an external electronic board manufactured to match the receiver output signal/voltage which is attatched to the valves. There are two numbers on the valve 170009 and N402, not sure if this helps,regards Colin Auton

The pneumatic section looks like this (the 4/2 valve at the top of the page)...

...but with an actuating rod rather than a solenoid (at the left), and no spring (at the right).

Port 'P' is pressure (from the air tank), and port 'R' is vent to atmosphere.

Ports 'A' and 'B' are connected to the retract actuators. If 'B' was connected to the 'down' and 'A' to the 'up', with the valve in the position shown, the gear would go down. With the valve in the other position (both boxes shift to the right), the gear would go up.
